A suicide attempt at his Johannesburg home is said to have resulted in the Mzansi hitmaker’s death while on his way to the hospital, according to stories circulating online.

Shai confided in close friend Thabang Sefotho about the emotional suffering he was facing during his dying days, according to Thabang.

“I contacted him, and he was quite remorseful,” Thabang said in an interview with Radio 702: ” He really sobbed into the phone, he was in such a state of emotional distress.
