Richardo Muziwendlovu Makhado (20 July 1987 – 23 February 2022), known professionally as Riky Rick, was a South African rapper, songwriter, singer, composer, actor, entrepreneur, and fashion designer. Makhado, Shaun Buthelezi, and Kelly Micas Chongo were the owners of the record label Cotton Club Records. He was also a member of Boyz N Bucks. He rose to fame when he released his single “Nafukwa” featuring Shaun even though not mentioned in the ft’s in 2014. Makhado released his debut studio album Family Values (2015), which became certified platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).

 

South Africans woke up with heavy hearts after hearing about the passing of Riky Rick after committing suicide. Before that a few days ago he was trending after sharing a video of himself and his wife celebrating Valentine’s day in a dance while singing for her.

The toxic social media started dragging him accusing him of being an abusive husband as they kept on saying the wife is not happy it looks like she’s been forced to do this. Already people had painted Riky Rick with bad paint as people started judging him. Now people will forget all the good things he did for people and remember him as a coward who killed himself after being accused of being an abuser.
