Nambitha Ben Mazwi , also known as Lady Nam is a famous South African actress and TV personality and show host, radio presenter and businesswoman. She is popularly known for acting as Lulama on Etv telenovela, Broken vows and as Shado on soapie drama Scandal and her role in Happiness Ever After. Nambitha Ben Mazwi fondly called Nampo by her family and friends was born on December 1st 1998 in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape to South African parents.
She joined the Eastern Cape children’s choir at 12 and this would later provide her with opportunities to travel around Europe with the choir Also Nambitha took part in musicals where she got to sing and act. Basically, Nambitha’s love for acting and arts generally was influenced by her uncle, late Winston Ntshoma the theatre performer who outstandingly performed alongside Dr John Kani and other theatre maestros.
Nambitha Ben Mazwi gained her primary school education in Port Elizabeth and she completed her high school education at the Collegiate Girl High School. Afterwards, she furthered to earn a Diploma in Business Management at Russel Road College in Port Elizabeth. She earned her Honours degree in Business Science from the University of Capetown in 2011.
Her career started when she worked as an actress and broadcaster in the University of Capetown while she was a student for Moneyeenin Lee Artists and Samantha Behardi Artists groups However, her professional acting career began with her starring in Mzansi Magic mystery drama series, Doubt where she played the role of Unathi Mweli. She also played and starred as Tamara in drama series, Black mirror while she was living in New York.
She starred in Beyonce’s Black is King video and music album. Nambitha starred in the SABC1 drama series, Diamond City as Benathi in 2018. In 2019, she played the recurring role of Shado on Scandal. Currently, she stars in How to Ruin Christmas, The Wedding streaming in Netflix.
