“If at this point taking my life will make you happy, go ahead, ” Black Coffee’s Death Tweet Scare

The suicide of actor and performer Patrick Shai last month has left many shocked and triggered by the word “kill or death”.

Following Shai’s death, there were two other suicides of well-known people, son of American actress Regina King, killing himself just days before his birthday and former Miss US and model Cheslie Kryst, also killing herself earlier in the month of February. Kryst jumped to her death from her residence in New York, leaving much speculation as to what could have caused her to take her life.

Meanwhile, here in South Africa, fear has gripped the nation again as another performer has hinted on his death. World-renowned DJ and Msanzi’s most loved export, DJ Black Coffee sent shockwaves in the early hours of Tuesday morning after a chilling tweet he has since deleted.

Real Name, Nathi Maphumulo, tweeted in the early hours of this morning, “”If at this point taking my life will make you happy, go ahead take it.” He immediately deleted the tweet. It is not clear who the tweet was directed to. Coffee’s tweet has left many concerned about his mental health and if help could be offered to him. Coffee has been embroiled in a bitter divorce with ex partner, Enhle Mbali, who is an actress.

Black Coffee has made a name for himself in the music industry in recent years, he has become a well known name in the US, making collaborations with different musicians like David Guetta. He has also hanged around P Diddy, Usher, to name a few. Coffee has also done massive residency in places like Ibiza and Las Vegas.

Before is stardom to fame, he was part of the trio Shana, who have us banging hits over the years. He also collaborated with Zakes Bantwini on a a number of songs until their bromance went haywire.
