Our Perfect Wedding first came onto the scene over a decade ago and has seen many shuffling of hosts but an indelible lady that she is, Thembisa was the one that we still recall very fondly until today. She was the pioneer after all.

However when faced with the reality of going back, the answer was a clear no

 

The discussion was centered around Phil Mphela recognizing that Bonang Matheba os actually a great host. This prompted one user to ask when Thembisa would come back and even tagging her in the tweet. Her response was simple and honest one. “Y’all are so quick😂😂😅.As for me going back. *Sigh*. Andiyiboni [I don’t see it] sorry.”

 

Viewers might recall that Thembisa was a part of the OPW presenter search many years ago to find her own replacement. She’s since ventured into acting and we look very forward to seeing her anytime she’s on screen. She’s a scene stealer in the best of ways and the trajectory of her career seems to be pointing upwards. I can’t understand why she would be hesitant about going back to presenting a wedding show.

 

Khanyisile Titus had been holding down the gig along with Nomsa Buthelezi and they both do a wonderful job. It would be unfair to them to have the OG of the show come back in any case. However it would be interesting to have even 4 hosts on the show to give us versatility and difference.

Personal Thoughts

I don’t know if it’s just a South African thing to undermine people at their chosen profession. I’ve seen too many tweets that detail a certain dislike to Khanyisa. They pop up more whenever it is Nomsa’s turn and that is NOT okay. The producers have chosen Khanyisa for a reason and until they think otherwise, she will remain there.

I for one think she has drastically improved over the years from shouting and being loud, to being more mellow as time goes on. She will continue to better herself in the position
