The international superstar, Bonang Matheba is celebrating her victory after the Johannesburg High court ruled in her favour at the lawsuit she had filed last year.

In 2021, Bonang approached the court as she filed a lawsuit against the YouTube podcaster, Rea Gopane who made derogatory remarks about Queen B.

The young YouTuber claimed that Bonang is using drugs and worse part, she allegedly introduced the rapper AKA to drugs.

He revealed this during his podcast after AKA’s fiance,Anele Tembe died.

Rea Gopane made claims that a TV personality, Scoop Makhathini told them that Bonang introduced AKA to drugs.

Feeling disrespected and having her dignity being tarnished around, Bonang did not let it slide as this costed her brand, these false allegations.

She first told this youngster to withdraw his remarks but he was being consistent with his attitude and laughed at Bonang.

This led her to file the lawsuit of R300 000 and the court granted her that. Gopane has to pay these fees plus all the costs.

Bonang said the money will be used to her foundation whh helps young girls in South Africa to get education when they can’t get one during financial constraints.
