Dr Jerry Mofokeng is a South African stage and screen actor who has appeared in several critically acclaimed films, including Cry The Beloved Country; Lord of War; Mandela and de Klerk; and the 2005 Academy Award-winning film Tsotsi. He was born in 17 April 1956 (age 65 years) and got married to his wife Claudine in 1980.

Mofokeng has created a household name for himself and he now wants to share his knowledge with upcoming actors and directors. The actor yesterday announced that he would be holding workshops that will assist those who want to learn and join the industry.

A digital flyer was shared on social media to promote these workshops, however many people got the wrong end of the stick as they thought it was an announcement of his passing. This could have probably happened because or the recent passing of Patrick Shai, his funeral details were also shared on a digital flyer as this.
