Ever since the news of Patrick Shai’s death went viral, the country has been divided, with many people blaming keyboard warriors for their unkind words to the late actor after his interaction with Hip Hop artist, Cassper Nyovest.

 

Even businessmen like Vusi Thembekwayo blame the toxic fanbase for Shai’s death, citing that social media is not at fault, but people who post hate speech on social media continue to drive victims of bullying to the edge, leaving them with no choice but to end it all.

A wise man once said that we should always be kind, while another said that we should always leave loved ones with kind words for we don’t know what tomorrow holds. In my opinion; this is not the time to point fingers at each other, especially at Kopano. He said what he said due to anger or disappointment, but that does not mean he should be blamed for his father’s alleged decision.

Once again, we should remember to be kind to others. Always.
