In her personal life Caster Semenya was born in a township of Ga-Masehlong Petersburg, Polokwane in Limpopo province. Caster is currently 31 years old, she was born on 7th January 1991.

While growing up Caster attended Nthema Secondary School and the University of North West as a sports science student.
