If you’re a fan of the Mzansi soap series Muhvango, you’ll recognize Sharon Seno’s character Marang Motsoaledi. She is well-known in Mzansi for portraying her characters convincingly and accurately, as if they were real people.
Sharon Seno (born June 12, 1994 in Botswana) is a Botswana actress who stars in the soap Muvhango on Sabc 2. She also has a beauty pageant and modeling memoir.
She began her career as a model, reaching the Top 5 at Miss Botswana 2013. Her attention shifted to acting, and she currently portrays Marang Motsoaledi, an Executive PA at Qalabosha who works for Moliehi Motsamai and James Motsamai.
She was raised in the Botswana town of Kanye. Thabiso, her older brother, is an architect, while Talent, her younger brother, studied heavy plant mechanics. Naledi Seno, her mother, took her to TV shows and commercial auditions, but she struggled with low self-esteem.
She told News24 that she was shy as a child and that people mocked her since she was the tallest among her peers. Because of her height and large lips, she began to believe she was ugly.
Despite Naledi’s encouragement, she continued to look poorly on herself until she grabbed the attention of a modeling scout at a mall. She realized at that moment that she was perfect and that being tall was nothing to be ashamed about. At that point, she began modeling. She does not have any formal qualifications, unlike her siblings, although she says she may return to school to study acting.
