Desmond Mpilo Tutu OMSG CH GCStJ was a South African Anglican bishop and theologian, known for his work as an anti-apartheid and human rights activist. He was Bishop of Johannesburg from 1985 to 1986 and then Archbishop of Cape Town from 1986 to 1996, in both cases being the first black African to hold the position.Tutu died on the 26th of December 2021 at the age of 90.He was born and raised in Klerksdorp on the 7th of October 1931.Currently he was married tk his gorgeous wife Nomalizo Leah Tutu until death separated them now.

 

 

 

Today his body has arrived at the St Georges cathedral in Cape Town where it will lie in state for two days for the public to pay their last respect. The service is lead by Archbishop Thabo Makgoba.May his soul rest in peace and his family finds Solace in the Almighty God.

Tutu’s body arrived at the church in an ordinary coffin, normally we are used to prominent people been buried in a beautiful ,elegant and big caskets but in Tutu’s case its different.

His children are Mpho Andrea Tutu, Trevor Thamsanqa Tutu, Naomi Nontombi Tutu, Theresa Thandeka Tutu .

Grandchildren are Onalenna Burris, Nyaniso Burris, Ziyanda Palesa Tutu
