It is a difficult time for the family of former Skeemsaam’s actress as they have lost one of their own who played a huge part in bringing peace in Mzansi.
Natasha Thahane is a South African media personality known for being an actress. She is popular known for having played a character on Skeemsaam whereby she appeared as a university student called Enhle and was in a relationship with one of the lecturers being Sakhile. She is again known for being the grand daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu as her father is said to be his son. Natasha has unfortunately lost her mentioned grand father being Archbishop Desmond Tutu today.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu who is her father’s father passed away today in Cape Town at the age of 90. He was one of those who contributed and fought for today’s generation to be free after many suffered due to the apartheid system which was the previous system used in South Africa.
Natasha has not yet opened up about the passing of her grand father on social media. However, South Africa’s president being Cyril Ramaphosa together with others have sent their condolences to the family.
President Cyril Ramaphosa speaking about Desmond Tutu’s passing and the type of man that he was said, “The passing of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu is another chapter of bereavement in our nation’s farewell to a generation of outstanding South Africans who have bequeathed us a liberated South Africa”.
“Desmond Tutu was a patriot without equal.A leader of principle and pragmatism who gave meaning to the biblical insight that faith without works is dead”, President Cyril Ramaphosa added.
It is so sad that the country has lost yet another person who has done a lot for Mzansi to be where it is today in terms of peace and freedom. However, Desmond Tutu has played his part and done more than enough. What is now left is for the current and future generations to continue walking in his and the footsteps of others in making sure that at all times there is peace and freedom in the country.
