Congrats to Venda Star Makhadzi on another milestone

Limpopo pioneers Makaji and Prince Benza’s giant single “Ganama” have officially won platinum. The lead single “Ganama” of the latest album “African Queen” has recorded a huge number since its release in July. The release of this song was controversial after the Limpopo hit maker, King Monada, claimed to have written it first before its release.

Still, the song went incredibly well just five months after its release. Music videos are currently played 9 million times on YouTube, but audio has hit nearly 1 million streams on global streaming giant Spotify. This announcement was made at the launch of Makhadzi’s series of Kokovha sneakers.

This new collection is a collaboration between Kicks Sportswear and Makhadzi, one of the largest commerce in history for South African artists and is worth about Rand 120 million. “Last night, my dream came true.

Together with Kicks Sportswear kicksportswear, I finally launched a new collection of sneakers called Kokovha.” These sneakers are inspired by my roots and Venda culture. I did it with my mom next door. History was made last night.

Makhadzi had a great year when she was one of the best streaming artists in the country. A few weeks ago, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter won the award for Best Artist and Best Duo or Group at African Electro. She is based in her prestigious All Africa Music Awards (Afrimas) for her hit “Murahu” with Mr. Brown.

At the awards ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria, she was also nominated for South Africa’s Artist of the Year and Artist of the Year. She is a singer from the record label OpenMic Productions and includes Master KG, Zanda Zakuza and Nomcebo Zikobe.
